Bronny James’ rumored girlfriend Peyton Gelfuso was spotted for the first time since the oldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James suffered cardiac arrest on Monday and was rushed to the hospital.
Gelfuso was photographed on Thursday in Los Angeles wearing a black workout top and black leggings with her hair up in a bun.
She was also photographed beside an older woman, though it was unclear what her relationship with Gelfuso was.
It was the first time she was seen since the scary incident when James had been practicing on the campus of USC, where he’ll be attending in the fall, when he suffered the cardiac episode.
He was at one point unconscious before being transported by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
Not much is known about James’ relationship with Gelfuso, but the pair set social media ablaze when the two posed for pictures for their prom in June.
The two were both students at Sierra Canyon, where Gelfuso played a number of sports and graduated in 2022.
She currently attends Southern Methodist University in Texas and is a member of the Tri Delta sorority.
She splits her time between Dallas and Los Angeles, according to her Instagram bio, and she has over 54,000 followers on the social media platform.
She has yet to post anything publicly about James in the wake of Monday’s incident.
Here's everything to know about Bronny James' cardiac arrest
Bronny James, the 18-year-old son of NBA superstar LeBron James, went into cardiac arrest during a basketball practice with his team at the University of Southern California on Monday.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Group cardiologist Merije Chukumerije said in a statement Thursday that Bronny “has been discharged home, where he is resting.”
It’s too soon to know how Bronny’s episode will affect his basketball career, since it largely depends on the underlying causes of the cardiac arrest.
“When they come up with a mechanism for why he had the cardiac arrest, you could then and only then make an informed decision regarding his recovery and his ability to go back on the court,” Dr. Marc Cohen, Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Newark-Beth Israel Medical Center, told The Post.
James, a rising basketball star in his own right, was discharged from the hospital Thursday, according to a statement from Cedars-Sinai Medical Group cardiologist Merije Chukumerije.
“Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics’ medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest,” the statement read.
“He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting.
“Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support.”
It remains unclear what caused Monday’s cardiac event in the 19-year-old, who has not publicly commented on the incident.
Earlier Thursday, LeBron James tweeted his gratitude to all that had reached out to the family.
“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers,” James tweeted.
“We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us!”
